CAMBRIDGE – Michael Wayne Luellen, 51, died Jan. 7, 2011, at a Bangor hospital. He was born Feb. 12, 1959, a son of Jack and Rebecca (Box) Luellen. He graduated from Maine Central Institute, Pittsfield, Class of 1977, and served in the U.S. Air Force for three years. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service for many years. Mike was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and coached Pee Wee baseball. He was a member of Exeter Full Gospel Church, and had been a deacon and youth pastor at Dexter Pentecostal Church. He was a life member of Disabled American Veterans and was an amateur radio operator – WB1FXN. He also had a love for woodworking. He is survived by his parents, the Rev. Sky and Jackie Burrill of Charleston; his father and wife, Jack and Jill Luellen of California; his wife, Linda (Speed) Luellen of Cambridge; two sons, Johnathan and wife, Greta, of Hampden and Joshua and wife, Erin, of Chesapeake, Va.; a daughter, Christina Small of Hampden; two half brothers, Jason of California and Randy of Colorado; three half sisters, Cecelia Burrill of California, Sonja and husband, David Weiss, of California and Shelley and husband, George Esquivel, of California; five grandchildren, Gavin, Liberty, Emma and Zachary Small and Miles Luellen; and a special friend who was like a daughter to Mike and Linda, Natalie Little. The family especially thanks Dr. Peter Gonnella and nurse, Christine Fontaine, at Togus Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Augusta, for the wonderful care that Mike received. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Charleston Pentecostal Church, where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 12, with the Revs. Sky Burrill and Chris Faloon officiating.
