HOWLAND and NEWPORT, R.I. – Richard Rochon Sr., 70, husband of Beverly (Sullivan) Rochon, died Jan. 14, 2011, at his home in Howland. He was born April 28, 1940, in Fall River, Mass., the son of Wilfred and Hazel (LeBuef) Rochon. Richard was a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard. He was a welder by trade. In addition to his wife, Beverly of Howland, he is survived by two sons, Richard Rochon Jr. of Tucson, Ariz., and Robert Rochon of Trenton; a daughter, Beverly Austin and her fiance, Dana Kiss, of Brewer; a brother, Roy Rochon of Florida; a sister, Barbara Robinson of Iowa; and eight grandchildren, Cody, Camille, Raife, Emily, Zachary, Lukas, Melissa and Roxanne. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a son, Ronald Rochon. Family and friends are gathering 1 p.m. Jan. 22 at Richard and Beverly’s home, 55 Penobscot Ave., Howland.
