MILLINOCKET – Elizabeth O. (Tinkham) “Mim” Campbell, 89, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2011, at her home. She was born Nov. 3, 1921, in Millinocket, daughter of Robert J. and Lottie M. (Knowlton) Tinkham. Elizabeth was a graduate of Stearns High School, Class of 1939. On Oct. 10, 1940, she married Earlan B. Campbell, and together they shared 31 years, and raised three sons before he passed away in 1971. Elizabeth is survived by three sons, Wayne Campbell and his wife, Sherry, Reid Campbell and friend, Janet Theriault, and Stephen Campbell and his wife, Marlene, all of Millinocket; seven grandchildren, Jeffrey Campbell and his wife, Nancy, of Millinocket, Joy E. Roy and her husband, Frank, of Hermon, Shawn Campbell and his wife, Diana, Stephen E. Campbell and his wife, Alicia, Evan Campbell and his wife, Nicole, all of Millinocket, Jennifer Rice of Bangor and Rachel Doyle and her husband, Shawn, also of Bangor; 11 great-grandchildren, Craig and Katelyn Campbell, Jacob and Mollie Roy, Emily and Kaci Doyle, Tyler Rice, Sydney Campbell, Braydon Campbell, Blake Campbell and Blaine Campbell; a brother, Joseph E. Tinkham and his wife, Ernestine, of Florida; and a special niece, Betty Hayes. In addition to her husband and her parents, Elizabeth was predeceased by a brother, Robert K. Tinkham. At Elizabeth’s request, there will be no viewing. Graveside services will be held in the springtime at a date to be announced. Arrangements are by Lamson Funeral Home, Millinocket.
