NEW BRITAIN, Conn. – Lewis Francis Ogden, 69, formerly a longtime resident of Berlin, Conn., and Plainville, Conn., passed away Sunday, Jan. 16, 2011. Born March 24, 1941, in Prentiss, he was son of the late Asa Vernon and Mildred Mae (Worster) Ogden. Lewis was a simple man and lived his life on his own terms. He worked as a heavy equipment operator until his retirement, but what he really enjoyed was country western dancing. He was competitive dancer for many years and enjoyed teaching it for various adult education programs. Lewis loved his family and will be missed by all those who knew him. He leaves his son, William Ogden and his wife, Gail, of Berlin; his grandchildren, Ryan Ogden and Nicole Damboise; his sisters, Kay Bennett and her husband, Mike, of Winterport and Gail Partridge and her husband, Steve, of Kenduskeag; his sister-in-law, Gerry Ogden of Kingman; along with several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Hubert Ogden. A celebration of Lewis’ life will be held privately, along with burial at a later date. There will be no calling hours.
