PORTLAND – Betty Lou Michaud, 69, of Auburn Street, passed away Jan. 17, 2011, after a brief illness. She was born in Fort Fairfield, a daughter of Louis and Matteen (Farley) Chambers. Betty was an active member of Portland Eagles Auxiliary No. 565 for many years. She was a cashier at Xtra Mart, Brighton Avenue, Portland, where she worked with her daughter, Sherri, for 20 years. Betty had many dear friends who loved her very much. She is survived by four daughters, Terri Beaulieu and her significant other, Frank Blenkhorn Sr., both of Westbrook, Sherri Michaud and significant other, Chris O’Brien, of Westbrook, Lisa Michaud and significant other, Paul Martel, of Lyman and Tracy Michaud of Westbrook; her former husband and father of her four daughters, Albert E. Michaud of Westbrook; grandchildren, Dustin Beaulieu, Danielle Beaulieu, Desiree Brown, Stephanie Michaud and Christina Michaud, all of Westbrook; great-grandchildren, Faith and Aurora Beaulieu of Westbrook; siblings, Roger Chambers of Hollis Center, Norma Ciesielski of Biddeford, Edward Chambers of Georgia, Philip Chambers of Fort Fairfield and Terry Chambers of Lyman; good friend and companion, Dana Stewart of Portland. She was predeceased by her siblings, Daisy Monson, George Chambers, Molly Clark, Ronald Chambers, Carl Chambers, Patricia Sebastian and Gloria Chambers. Visiting hours will be held 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 20, at Independent Death Care, 660 Brighton Ave., Portland, where a funeral will be held 1 p.m. Friday.
