GRAND ISLE and SPRINGFIELD – Bonita Rachel Marie Damboise, 55, passed away unexpectedly Jan. 17, 2011, at her residence in Springfield. She was born April 2, 1955, in Quebec, daughter of the late Rudolphe and Claudette (Neveu) Byram. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend to all. There were many people in her life that she considered family and would never turn her back on. She always had a way of brightening a room and bringing a smile to your face. She was an active member in her community and enjoyed being in the church choir. She was very outgoing and artistic. Bonnie is survived by Jeannot Damboise and Lenny Severance; her children, Eric Damboise and his wife, Sharon, Amanda, Holly and Crystal Damboise, Danny Severance, and Bub Severance and his wife, Heather; grandchildren, Oliviah, Claudia, Izabella, Kali and Connor; her siblings, Mike Byram, Joey Byram, Lydia Gagnon, Daniel Byram and Rudy Byram Jr.; many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 22, at St. Gerard Church, Grand Isle.
