LINCOLN – James Aldworth, 85, died Jan. 22, 2011, at his home. He was born Aug. 19, 1925, in Chicago, the son of James and Helen (Furner) Aldworth. James was a Navy veteran of World War II. He attended Northwestern University and worked in advertising for several companies. He also owned his own rubber stamp company. He was a talented artist. He retired in the late 1970s and moved to Maine to paint fulltime. James was loved by many. He is survived by his children, Julie, Amy, Eileen, Joseph, John, Lawrence, Kathleen and Tim; a brother, Jack Aldworth of Evanston, Ill.; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and the mother of his children, “Rhodi.” In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two sons, James and Stephen; and a sister, Mary Logan.
