BANGOR – Leona J. Maddan, 92, died Jan. 26, 2011, in Bangor. She was born May 8, 1918, in Cardville, a daughter of Chester and Jessie (Ashe) Maddan.
Leona was a postmaster for 33 years until her retirement in 1977.
She is survived by her daughter, Donna L. Visconti of Loveland, Colo.; grandchildren, Michael J. Cowan and his fiancee, Andrea, Theresa L. Teunison and husband, Jeff, and Carol A. Bowler and husband, David; stepgrandchildren, Jeff Visconti and Kim Goldstein and her husband, Tim; great-grandchildren, Shannon L. Faloon, Abigail M. Teunisen, Samantha L. Bowler and Danielle C. Bowler; son-in-law, Edwin D. Visconti; and a special niece, Carol A. Stanley. She was predeceased by one brother, Rodney Maddan; and sisters, Arline Sanborn and Gloria Martin.
