HODGDON – Kathy Vail Estabrook, 53, died Feb. 11, 2011, after a long struggle with multiple sclerosis. She was born Feb. 10, 1958, in Bangor, the daughter of James L. and Athaline (Hutchinson) Vail.
Kathy attended Hodgdon schools and was valedictorian of Hodgdon High School, Class of 1976. She was a multi-talented person – being an accomplished artist, pianist, flutist and gardener. Her favorite hobby was sewing, and at one time she owned and operated Kathy’s Sew’n Shop.
She is survived by her husband, Tom Estabrook of Hodgdon; two daughters, Jessica Dhuy and her husband, Ryan, of East Hodgdon and Shannon Stuart and her husband, Scott, of Lisbon Falls; sister, Kimberly Vail of Hodgdon; two grandchildren, Cassidy Clark and Ethan Merritt; many cousins, aunts and uncles.
Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Monday at Dunn Funeral Home, where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, friends may make gifts in Kathy’s memory to multiple sclerosis research, care of Dunn Funeral Home, 11 Park St., Houlton, ME 04730.
