BANGOR and TACOMA, Wash. – Martha “Jean” Hauge, 87, died Feb. 15, 2011, after a long illness. She was born Oct. 6, 1923, in Witchita, Kan., the daughter of Thomas S. and Priscilla (Little) Locke.
Jean lived most of her life in Tacoma, Wash.
She was predeceased by her husband, Chester B. Hauge. Surviving are one son, Dr. John Hauge and his wife, Donna, of Holden; three grandchildren, Thomas Hauge and wife, Michelle, of Bentonville, Ark., Michael Hauge and wife, Tammy, of Kent, Wash., and Kimberly Seelye of Milton, Mass.; three great-grandchildren, Darian, Hayley and Olivia; nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 19, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 540 Essex St., Bangor, with the Rev. Elaine Hewes, pastor, officiating.
