MARS HILL – Bonnie Blanchard, 55, passed away Thursday, Feb. 17, 2011, at her home, after a long illness. She was born July 24, 1955, in Mars Hill, daughter of Harold and Betty (Orser) Howlett.

She is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Sheri-Lyn Carter and her husband, Travis, of Easton, and Brandi-Lyn Kinney and her husband, Michael, of Presque Isle; a stepson, Darren Blanchard of Mexico, Maine; two brothers, Pete Howlett of Delaware, and Paul Howlett and his wife, Amy, of Mars Hill; three sisters, Diana Pottle and her husband, Anthony, Debbie Howlett and Barbara Howlett, all of Mars Hill; and three grandchildren, Kylee and Kody Carter, and Makensie Kinney, to whom she was known as “Nanny.” She will also be remembered by a brother-in-law, Carl Porter and his wife, Marion, of Dixfield; a sister-in-law, Zilla Porter of Rumford; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Anthony, in 1984.
