MILBRIDGE – Alfred J. “Junior” Ouellette Jr., 79, son of the late Alfred J. and Madeline A. (Ash) Ouellette, died unexpectedly Feb. 15, 2011, at his residence. He was born May 8, 1931, in Old Town.
Alfred attended schools in Old Town and worked for several years at the shoe factory in Old Town. He worked for Maine Cement Products for 23 years and then was employed with County Concrete Co. In later years he worked for Wyman’s & Sons Blueberry Co. “Junior” enjoyed playing the saxophone and harmonica, playing with many local bands. He loved anything to do with the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with his family. He was a member of Old Town Elks Lodge and a life member of North American Hunting Club.
He was predeceased by his wife, Elaine M. (Look) Ouellette, who died May 16, 2010. He is survived by seven sons, Glenn Ouellette Sr. and wife, Sandi, of Milford, Tim Ouellette Sr. and fiancee, Wanda Hoskins, of Bradley, Stephen Ouellette of Old Town, Greg Ouellette and partner, Candace Hamm, of Veazie, Royce Oliver and wife, Kathy, of Florida, Clayton Oliver and wife, Nancy, of Hancock and Patrick Oliver and wife, Florence, of Columbia Falls; three daughters, Debra Smith and husband, Bernie, of Old Town, Tina Ouellette of Bradley and Dawn Hayford and husband, Bobby, of Glenburn; two brothers, Wayne Ouellette and wife, Muriel, of Brooksville, Fla., and Nelson Ouellette and partner, Joyce, of Milford and Fort Pierce, Fla.; two sisters, Gloria Jean Dionne of Brewer and Lorraine Mace of Rockland; 18 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He had two very special friends, Rodney Mitchell Sr. of Hudson and Ronny Robinson of Milbridge.
