LIMESTONE – Loretta (Martin) Knight, 87, died Thursday, Feb. 17, 2011, with her loving family by her side at Inland Hospital, Waterville. Loretta was born July 19, 1923, in Van Buren, the daughter of Arthur and Rose (Devoe) Martin.
She graduated from high school in Van Buren. She married Charles Sheldon Knight in July 1941, and began sharing the responsibility of running Knight Brother’s Farms, Limestone, and in raising their four children.
Survivors include her daughters, Sharon Page and husband, David, of Oakland, Brenda Morley and husband, Jim, of Cartersville, Ga., and Judy Knight of Mediapolis, Iowa; daughter-in-law, Patricia and Bell Knight of Winchester, N.H.; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Loretta was predeceased by her loving husband of 56 years, Charles Sheldon Knight; and son, Kenneth.
A spring memorial service will be held in Limestone.
