PARKMAN – Ferne O. Beckwith, 88, died Feb. 27, 2011, at Mayo Regional Hospital, Dover-Foxcroft. She was born Sept. 16, 1922, in Parkman, daughter of G. Dewey and Esther (Stilson) Davis.

She worked for many years at Hardwood Products Co., Guilford, and will be missed by many friends and family.

She was predeceased by her husband, Myrle Beckwith Sr., in 1978. She is survived by two daughters, Judy Tozier and her husband, George, of Guilford and Sherry Burdin and her companion, Bill Davis, of Dexter; a son, Myrle “Buddy” Beckwith Jr. and his wife, Geraldine, of Parkman; three brothers, Omar Davis and his wife, Betty, and Wade Davis and his wife, Mary, all of Parkman, and Wayne Davis and his wife, Emily, of Virginia; two sisters, Barbara Thurlow and Elaine McKenzie and her husband, Leslie, all of Parkman; 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. The youngest of 11 children, she was predeceased by her brothers and sisters, Lloyd Davis, Marvin Davis, Millard Davis, Carolyn Perkins and Hildred Kimball.
