CARIBOU – Donat “Don” Joseph Saucier, 78, passed away Sunday, Feb. 27, 2011, surrounded by many members of his loving family. Don was born Jan. 17, 1933, in Wallagrass, the son of Edward and Emelia (Voisine) Saucier.

Don was a loving husband, father and papa. He faithfully served his country during the Korean War and was a lifetime member of Caribou Veterans of Foreign Wars. Spending time by a fire talking with family is what he enjoyed most in life.

He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Dorothy Saucier. He is also survived by his children and spouses, Linda and her husband, David York, of Presque Isle, Clayton Saucier of Lawrenceville, Ga., Ricky and Deborah Saucier of Sartell, Minn., Karen Saucier of Arlington, Va., Beverly Ballard of Fort Valley, Va., and April McIsaac of Winchester, Va.; his siblings and spouses, Fern Drost of Crouseville, Bea and Ben Dumais of Frenchville, Camille and Judy Saucier of Fort Fairfield; and greatly missed by his sister-in-law, Linda Hembree of Pompano Beach, Fla. He also had nine dear grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Don was predeceased by his sister, Annette Blair; his brother, Raoul Saucier; and daughter, Althea Despres.
