AUGUSTA — After waiting through two postponements caused by snowstorms that moved their games from Friday to Tuesday, the Bangor boys and Hampden Academy girls basketball teams captured Eastern Maine Class A regional titles Tuesday night at the Augusta Civic Center.
The Bangor boys defeated Edward Little of Auburn 41-38 and the Hampden girls beat Messalonskee of Oakland 62-40 to advance to Saturday’s state finals in Augusta.
Hampden will battle Western Maine champ McAuley of Portland at 4 p.m., while Bangor will take on Cheverus of Portland at 7 p.m.
