MASARDIS – Frederick E. Hafford, 68, died March 5, 2011, at a Mars Hill nursing home. He was born Dec. 24, 1942, in Presque Isle, the son of Frederick and Eva (Bolstridge) Hafford.

He was employed as a truck driver for many years for Sullivan Trucking, Ashland.

He is survived by his wife, Judy (Camp) Hafford of Masardis; three children, Frederick J. Hafford of Masardis, Brenda Sinclair and husband, Robert, of Campbellsville, Ky., and Dwight Hafford and his wife, Teresa, of Presque Isle; four brothers, Edward Hafford of Lacrosse, Wis., Daniel Hafford of Ordfordville, Wis., Howard Hafford and wife, Barbara, of Watsonville, Calif., and Timothy Hafford and wife, Anita, of Fryeburg; five sisters, Jenny Clark of Masardis, Delores Hamilton of Limestone, Joyce Bolstridge of New Haven, Conn., Rosalie Hafford of Ashland and Susan York and husband, Edwin, of Sweden; six grandchildren, Eric, Allison and Brandon Hafford, Kimberly Sinclair, Scott and James Martin; and three great-grandchildren, Hailey, Kaiden and Triston. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one daughter, Teresa Louise; a brother, Dwight Hafford; a sister, Darlene Hafford; and by a grandson, Jason.

Relatives and friends may call 4-6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Advent Christian Church, Exchange Street, Ashland, where a funeral service will be held 6:30 p.m. with the Rev. William Harris, pastor, officiating. Spring interment will be at Masardis Municipal Cemetery.
