In Loving Memory Of

EARLE R. JUNKINS

Dec. 26, 1927 – March 12, 2007

It has been four years since we lost your physical presence on this Earth. You still appear in our lives every day, sometimes through the expressions of your grandchildren and great-grandchildren and sometimes through a sunrise or sunset that stirs a memory of you from days gone by. The sound of water lapping at the bottom of a boat; the sound of a canoe pole striking the gravel bottom of the Aroostook River; a lonesome train whistle drifting through the window late at night; the smell of the wood smoke from an open campfire; and the taste of brook trout baked over that open fire with a pot of fiddleheads steaming alongside – all things that speak your name to us. We pass your legacy on proudly. Sometimes the cards we are dealt are not always fair; however, you kept smiling and accepted your fate with courage and peace. It was a good long run.

Greatly missed by your family: wife, Lorraine; sons, Michael, Claude, Robert and Brian; your daughter, Judith; daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, grandkids, great-grandkids, friends and relatives
