BAILEYVILLE – Mary G. Crosby, 87, passed away Thursday, March 10, 2011, at Calais Regional Hospital. Mary was born Feb. 23, 1924, in Eastport.
After graduating from Woodland High School, Class of 1942, she worked as a stitcher for Ware Knitters, Calais, for 20 years, at which time she left to raise her children. Mary was a member of People’s United Methodist Church, Baileyville, where she was a member of United Methodist Women and served on the PPR Committee. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, needlepoint, reading, word search puzzles and cooking.
Mary was predeceased by her parents, Eugene and Almeda James. Surviving are her loving husband, Donald Crosby; four children, Donna Crosby of Vassalboro, Susan Crosby of Baileyville, Barbara Testa and her husband, Bryon, of Leominster, Mass., and David Crosby of Cotuit, Mass.; a grandson, Nicholas Testa of Leominster, Mass.; many nieces and nephews.
