HOWLAND – Gerald “Popeye” Terrio went to be with the Lord March 11, 2011, surrounded by his loving family at home after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born April 10, 1934, son of Joseph Leo and Olive (Ezrow) Terrio.
He retired as a mill worker, but held many other jobs in his life including carpenter, truck driver and woods worker. He enjoyed spending time with his family as well as fishing, hunting and scratching his lottery tickets.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 51 years, Kathleen (Davis) Terrio; three daughters and one son, Cindy and Tim Brown of Medford, Karen and Brian Dawson of Howland, Jerri Terrio of Florida and Joseph Terrio of Passadumkeag; four granddaughters, Brandie Smith, Tiffany LeBrun, Brooke and Kirstie Dawson; and three great-grandchildren, Anaraivyn, Tierairis and Khelen. He is also survived by four sisters, Marilyn Terrio, Eva Bickford, Doris Robinson and Charlotte Georgio; along with many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; one infant daughter, Susan Olive; as well as four brothers and five sisters.
At Gerald’s request, there will be no funeral services.
