CASTINE, Maine — Two students at Maine Maritime Academy have been charged in connection with the theft of more than $3,000 of items from another student in February.
Deputy Chris Thornton of the Hancock County Sheriff’s Department issued summonses to students Nicholas Kressbach, 18, of Brunswick and Cameron Lindsley, 18, of Bath in connection with the theft which was reported by MMA security officials on Feb. 7. The two were charged with Class C theft by unauthorized taking.
The estimated value of the items stolen totaled $3,039 and included a laptop computer worth about $1,700, five textbooks totaling $940, and a $399 scientific calculator. All the items have been recovered.
