Good job, governor, you have left them room to maneuver within your budget recommendation but asked them not to change the bottom line. It’s the bottom line that is of major concern to the people of Maine; this will allow the taxpayers to see where the elected officials in the Legislature stand.

LePage continues to act like the playground bully. It’s his way or no way. That is not the mark of a mature adult. This guy needs a few decades of therapy to get over his hatred of his childhood background and anyone who who reminds him of it.

The governor standing by his budget is an example of leadership. Why submit a budget if you are not committed to seeing it passed as closely as possible to the original? If the Legislature finds a better way of doing it, then they are welcome to put it in front of the governor.

The corporate America loves LePage and the others in Michigan, Ohio, Florida, Arizona and of course Wisconsin. They funded their campaigns, spread hate and discontent through their tea party puppets and corporate media. They keep everyone at each other’s throats while continuing to pay no taxes while getting billions of taxpayer dollars in bailouts and subsidies.

Senate votes to weaken Maine’s seat belt law
Granted you have to be pretty numb not not wear a seat belt, but I’m glad to see this law go away. It seemed more like an excuse for the police to be able to pull you over for any reason – and say they thought they didn’t see a seat belt – than anything else.

A first step in the restoration of personal liberty and personal responsibility!

Good. I hate to have to put on a seat belt just to run down to the corner store for another 30 pack when I run out. And have you ever tried to puke out the window with a seat belt on?
