CARIBOU – Richard Levesque, 78, husband of the late Florence (Lemieux) Levesque, died March 17, 2011, in Caribou. He was born March 4, 1933, in Madawaska, son of Joyime and Irene (Cyr) Levesque.
Richard served with the U.S. Army and was a self-employed carpenter in the local area for several years.
He is survived by two daughters, Denise Strickland of New Hampshire and Elaine Ouellette of Van Buren; five brothers, Willard Levesque and his wife, Aline, Percy Levesque and his wife, Pauline, and Vernon Levesque and his wife, Huguette, all of Caribou, Ernie Levesque and his wife, Edith, and Raymond Levesque and his wife, Nicole, all of Madawaska; three grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, David Levesque.
Memorial services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, March 24, at Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery, Caribou. Arrangements are by Mockler Funeral Home, Caribou. For online register, please go to
