PITTSFIELD – Natalie Davis Booth, 82, died peacefully Friday, March 18, 2011, at her home. She was born Nov. 10, 1928, in Plymouth, daughter of the late Lyle and Nellie (Call) Davis.
Natalie was employed as a certified nurse’s assistant for many years. In her earlier years she enjoyed skiing with her family at Sugarloaf. Being community orientated, Nat helped to start The Pinnacle, Pittsfield, and was also a member of Eastern Star, Bethlehem Chapter No. 36 Order of the Eastern Star, Pittsfield. She had a great love for dogs, especially Labrador retrievers. She was a loving mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her six sons, William H. Booth Jr. and his wife, Goril, of Oslo, Norway, Terry Booth and his wife, Carla, of Hartland, Robert Steven Booth and his wife, Debbie, of West Palm, Fla., Scott Booth of Bar Harbor, Carlton Mark Booth and his wife, Louiselle, of Pittsfield and Peter Booth of Pittsfield; eight grandchildren, Arathea, Tina, Nicolai Dominic, Megan, Krystal, Curtis, Michael and Carlton Matthew; six great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Marion and Miriam. She was predeceased by her loving husband, William; and her brother, Gerald “Buddy” Davis. The family thanks Rachelle and Gail, her special friends and caregivers during her illness. Without these ladies we would not have been able to keep Nat in her home and as comfortable as possible. Special thanks to Michael Lynch, who helped us from the beginning of Bill’s passing to the end of Nat’s. We are also grateful for wonderful hospice people and all the friends who visited. Natalie will be missed by all.
A receiving of friends will be held 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 23, at Shorey-Nichols Funeral Home, 191 Hartland Ave., Pittsfield, with an Eastern Star ceremony beginning 7 p.m. A funeral service will take place 2 p.m. Thursday, March 24, at the funeral home with the Rev. Scott Jones officiating. A committal service will be held in the spring at Village Cemetery, Pittsfield.
