CARIBOU – Peter Longley, 69, went to be with the Lord March 21, 2011, after a brief illness. He was born Feb. 15, 1942, in Caribou, son of the late Peter and Alice (Theriault) Longley Sr.
Mr. Longley was a self-employed farmer and potato grower having farmed on Van Buren Road, Caribou, for many years. He was a member of Church of the Holy Spirit, Edmundston, New Brunswick. He married Yvette Dube, Jan. 2, 1971.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Yvette of Caribou, are his four daughters, Dr. Cindy Bouchard and her husband, Chad, Gina, Denise and Bridget Longley, all of Caribou; and his two grandsons, Abraham and Benjamin. Mr. Longley was predeceased by a sister, Irene Nadeau.
Friends may visit with the family 2-4 p.m. Friday at Family Christian Center, Presque Isle, where a celebration of Mr. Longley’s life will be held 4 p.m. with the Rev. Gail Bellamy officiating. After the service all are invited to a time of continued fellowship and refreshments in the church fellowship hall. Arrangements by Mockler Funeral Home, Caribou.
