LINCOLN – “Most all beautiful things in life come by twos and threes, by dozens and hundreds … plenty of roses, stars, sunsets and rainbows, but only one Mimi in the whole world.” Lorraine Ruth Morrison Weatherbee, 75, peacefully passed away March 24, 2011. She was born May 8, 1935, in Lincoln, daughter of Blaine and Ruth (White) Morrison.
She graduated from Mattanawcook Academy, where she met John “Boopie” Weatherbee, and thus began a love and marriage which lasted more than 50 years.
Lorraine was a loving mother to three children, Jane, Blaine and Suzanne. She was a nurturing and doting “Mimi” to five grandchildren, John, Allan, Johnny, Katie Lorraine and Blaine. She leaves behind a devoted brother, Roger Morrison and his wife, Marilyn. From the time Lorraine was a child, Roger cared for her and never left her side. The bond between them is timeless. Along with her family, she leaves behind Kathy Smith, John Krapf, Dave, Rochelle, Cody, Hillary and countless other family and friends. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Mildred.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday, March 28, at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory may be made to a trust fund to benefit her grandchildren’s education. For an online guest register and to leave written condolences, please visit

“The love for family is a silent link between heart and mind, and the silver thread that ties us all together … blessed are those who find it.” We are
all blessed for having had Lorraine in our lives.
