BRADLEY – Albert Miller, 81, passed away Sunday, March 27, 2011, surrounded by his loving family. He was born Nov. 26, 1929, in Milford, son of the late Donald and Alice Miller.

Albert spent most of his adult life working in local shoe factories in and around the Bangor area. He also worked at Old Town Canoe, where his hard work and great personality made him a joy to work with. Albert enjoyed many outdoor activities, such as attending the many games his grandchildren were involved in. He also had a love of golf, which he enjoyed with his children and grandchildren. Other things that he enjoyed were bowling, hunting and fishing, which he shared with family and friends.

He also enjoyed all types of music, especially jazz, bluegrass and the blues, and dancing the jitterbug with his beloved wife.

Albert is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Joyce (Blackmer) Miller; seven children, 16 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, Craig and wife, Margo, with children, Jessica, Danielle and Kelly; Brian and his wife, Carlene, with children, Brandon and Alexa; Karen and her husband, Gary, with children, Samantha and Carrie; Keith and his wife, Janet, with children, Ryan and his wife, Dawn, and their daughter, Adyson, and Sean; Scott and his wife, Laurie, with children, Jeremy, Jennifer and husband, Holt, and their three children, Hunter, Haley and Haiden, and Zachary; Holly and husband, Shannon, with children, Cullen and Keelia; and Stacey with children, Mariah and Caleb. He also leaves one brother, Thomas Miller; and a special niece, April and her husband, Kevin. Albert was predeceased by his parents; a son, Clay; and siblings, Lorraine, Bernice, Donna, Jeanne, Richard and Matthew.

A visitation will be held 6 p.m. until the time of memorial service 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 31, at Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town.
