ST. ALBANS – Robert L. Beauchesne, 74, died March 19, 2011, at a Bangor hospital, after a three-year battle with cancer. He was born June 14, 1936, in Lewiston, the son of Thomas and Armosa (Letourneau) Beauchesne, and moved to Connecticut when he was 6 years old.
He proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was employed for 34 years at Southern New England Telephone Co. in Connecticut. Bob loved the ocean and enjoyed sitting in the sun. He liked camping, boating, fishing, hunting and snowmobiling. He also loved to dance – he was a dancing machine! The last few years he really enjoyed being at the lake and helping to build a new home. Most of all, Bob enjoyed being surrounded by his children and grandchildren. Some of his last thoughts were that he felt sad at not being able to see his grandchildren graduate, get married and have families of their own. He was always thankful for the special times that he did share with them.
He is survived by his loving wife of 14 years, Donna Robertson-Provencher Beauchesne, of St. Albans; three children and five stepchildren, Robert Beauchesne and his wife, Mary, of Sterling, Conn., Chris Beauchesne and his wife, Debbie, of Mount View, Calif., Chance Beauchesne of San Francisco, Cheryl Brewster and her husband, Gary, of Manchester, N.H., Mike Provencher and his wife, Melisa, of St. Albans, Darlene Palmer and her husband, Jim, of Gardiner, Eric Provencher and his wife, Marcia, of St. Albans and Thomas Provencher and his partner, Kristen, of St. Albans; 15 grandchildren, Linda, Justin, Sarah, Zach, Tyler, Sarah, Jessica, Timothy, Tyler, Mikayla, Audrey, Brett, Ryan, Matt and little Sammie; one niece; and a very good friend, Joe. He was predeceased by his parents; his first wife of 37 years, Cynthia; and his sister, Diane.
