LADY LAKE, Fla. – Ms. Thelma R. McCollum, 89, died Sunday, March 27, 2011, in Sumterville, Fla. She was born in Jonesport.
Ms. McCollum worked as an office supervisor for the U.S. Federal Government, and moved to Lady Lake, Fla., in 1984 from Jonesport. She enjoyed bingo, camping, hiking and walking on the beach.
Survivors include three nieces, Sara Foster of Lakeland, Fla., Betty Black and Ruth Crowley of Jonesport; and two nephews, Fred McCollum of Bardstown, Ky., and Kirby McCollum of Leonardtown, Md.
The family selected cremation with a private family memorial arrangement. The family requests donations in memory of Ms. McCollum to Lane Purcell Hospice House, 2452 CR 526E, Sumterville, FL 33585.
