BREWER – Charlotte L. Sabine, 82, passed away March 30, 2011, at a Bangor health care center after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born Oct. 6, 1928, in Brewer, daughter of Raymond and Marjorie (Libby) Tardiff.
Charlotte came from a large loving family and was always there to care for the sick and dying. She will be sadly missed by those who are left and loved her dearly.
She was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Eugene “Doug” Sabine, in 2005. Surviving are her children, Douglas Sabine and his wife, Kathleen, of Orrington, and Terri Grass and her fiance, Collin Rodgers, of Milford; three grandchildren, Tracy Pinkham and her husband, Patrick, of Brewer, Jamie Solomon of Bangor, and Michelle Sabine of Orrington; two great-grandchildren, Tessa and Caleb Solomon of Bangor; one brother, Paul Tardiff and his wife, Marie, of Bangor; two sisters, Gloria Thibodeau of Lincoln and Vera Mitton of Bangor; several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may visit 1-3 p.m. Sunday, April 3, at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 69 State St., Brewer, where a service honoring her life will be held 3 p.m. as the visitation concludes with the Rev. Carl Schreiber, pastor of East Orrington Congregational Church, presiding. Burial will be later in the spring at Marston Cemetery, Orrington.
