ETNA – Newman L. Stewart, 82, died April 1, 2011, at a Bangor hospital. He was born Aug. 9, 1928, in Bangor, a son of George and Elsie (Keane) Stewart.
He attended Bangor schools. He retired as sales manager from Pepsi Cola Bottling Co. after 36 years. He had also worked for H. A. Hersey at the Bangor Daily News.
He is survived by his wife, Marjorie (Cousins) Stewart; a son, Terrance Stewart of Glenburn; three daughters, Brenda Clark of Dexter, Grace Stern of Bangor and Cindy Perry of Holden; one sister, Grace Ware of Vassalboro; three stepsons, Barry, Dale and Neil Lord, all of Bangor; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Private burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Brewer.
