HOULTON – Ruth Margaret Denker, 94, died April 1, 2011, at a local health care facility. She was born July 3, 1916, in Cary, the daughter of Merle and Hazel (Putnam) Oliver.
Ruth worked at Houlton Air Force Base during World War II and was a telephone operator for many years in Maryland working for AT&T.
Ruth is survived by her brothers, Morris Oliver of Hodgdon, Floyd Oliver of Cary Plantation and Dana Oliver of Caribou; her sister, Marjorie Patterson of Colorado Springs, Colo.; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Henry A. Denker; and her brother, Harold Oliver.
Friends may call 11 a.m. until the time of service 1 p.m. Monday at Dunn Funeral Home. Interment will be in the spring at Hodgdon Cemetery.
