PRESQUE ISLE – Lena A. Hughes, 81, passed away Saturday, April 2, 2011, at The Aroostook Health Center, Mars Hill. She was born Aug. 28, 1929, in Allagash, the daughter of Thomas and Delia (Jackson) Hughes.
She worked for Agway, Inc. as a bookkeeper for many years.
She is survived by two sisters, Rose Barnes and her husband, Earl, and Beulah Roix; a special niece, Carla Kitchen and her husband, Jeff, and their daughter, Jenna, all of Presque Isle; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Hampton Hughes; and three sisters, Ellen, Doris and Theresa.
