WINTERPORT – Larry C. Lowe, who was born April 9, 1944, in Winterport, the son of Clyde O. and Thola (Littlefield) Lowe, passed away March 13, 2011, at the age of 66, after a brief illness.
Larry is survived by brothers, Gary of Bangor and Merle and his wife, Betsy, of Conway, N.H., and their children, Kristie, Anjanette and Chester; and his loving steadfast companion, Sally Zambona of Etna, and her family, Bill, Teresa and granddaughter, Jessi. Larry is also survived by daughter, Michele and her husband, Wayne Johnson, of Lebanon, and their children, Courtney and husband, Alberto Perez, and great-granddaughter, Sophia, Andrea Richardson and Jeffrey Richardson; his daughter, Lori Lowe of New Durham, N.H., and her children, Paul, Alaina and Eric; and his daughter, Barbara Malone and fiance, Todd Peterman, of Dover, N.H., and her daughter, Devyn.
Larry worked in sales and for the town of Winterport. Larry’s love for baseball and basketball made him an outstanding athlete at Winterport High School and a lifetime fan of the Red Sox and Celtics. He enjoyed golf and especially fishing with lifelong best friend, Stanley Bowden and his sons, Joe and Josh. He will be missed by all his at buds at Winterport Fire Department, where the challenges of being a volunteer firefighter for the citizens of Winterport were very rewarding to him. He’ll also be missed by his poker playing pals in “Paddy Holla.”
Family and friends will be celebrating Larry’s life and times 1-4 p.m. April 9 at Victoria Grant Civic Center, Park Drive, Winterport. Please bring some memories and join us.
