LEVANT – Nettie May Pond, 63, beloved wife of Waldena H. Pond Jr., went home to be with the Lord April 5, 2011, surrounded by her loving family at their home, after a long battle with cancer. She was born May 24, 1947, in Bangor, daughter of Clifford and Nettie (Archer) Curtis.
Nettie loved spending time with her family, fishing, yard sales, special Saturday outings with her sister, Shirley, and going to church to be with her extended family at Carmel Church of Restoration.
Nettie is survived by her loving husband of 31 years; a daughter, Denise and her husband, Gordon Pond; sisters, Shirley Wozneak and Sharon Stubbs; brothers, John Curtis, Warren Curtis and Clifford LaTore; grandchildren, Heidi Morris, Jessica and her husband, John Bursey, Heather and her husband, Andy Witham, Amanda Bragg, Desiree Pond, Joshua Pond, and Ashley Bragg and her partner, Caleb Lord; great-grandchildren, Tyler Morris, Cassandra Morris, Austin Witham, Lil’ Willy Bragg, Evan Witham and Cameron Bragg Lord; a very special niece, Tonya Wozneak; and special friends, Fran Davis and Lisa Morin. She was predeceased by two sons, William “Bill” Bragg and Leslie Bragg.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, April 9, at Carmel Church of Restoration, Route 2, Carmel.
