LUBEC – Josie Leigh Jodway, 18, passed away unexpectedly April 5, 2011. He was born June 22, 1992, in Machias.
Josie graduated from Lubec High School in 2010. He truly loved all his family and held a special place in his heart for his daughter, Jaelyn Anna. He so enjoyed working on the water as a lobster fisherman and was soon to become part of the U.S. Coast Guard.
Josie is survived by his special girl, Krista Wright; daughter, Jaelyn Anna; parents, Danny and Sue Jodway; younger brother, Codi; two younger sisters, Christina and Kimberly; grandparents, Doug and Mona Denbow of Lubec, Leigh Jodway of New York, Crystal Carter of Pembroke and Dennis and Viki Huckins of Lubec; great-grandparents, Maurice and Leona Denbow of Lubec; many uncles, aunts and cousins who will deeply miss him.
Services will be held 1 p.m. April 10, at the Seventh-day Advent Church, Whiting. A graveside service will be afterward at Split Hill Cemetery, Lubec. Visitation for immediate family only 11 a.m.-noon at the church and noon-1 p.m. for uncles, aunts and cousins.
