WINDHAM – Marie A. Tucker, 64, of Park Road, died April 6, 2011, at a Scarborough health care facility, after a brief illness. She was born Sept. 15, 1946, in St. Stephen, New Brunswick, the daughter of Philip G. and Thelma M. (Cowan) McIver.

Marie was raised and educated in Vanceboro, and was a 1964 graduate of Vanceboro High School. In November 1965, Marie married Alan E. Tucker in Vanceboro. As a couple they moved to New York and later to Massachusetts, where they started their family. In 1979, as a family, they relocated to Windham and were residents there ever since. Marie was a loving wife, wonderful mother and grandmother, and a good friend to many.

Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Alan E. Tucker of Windham; two sons, Mark Tucker and his wife, Heidi, of Windham and Steven Tucker and his wife, Leah, of Northbridge, Mass.; three grandchildren, Katelyn Tucker of Windham, Acadia Tucker and Cadence Tucker, both of Northbridge, Mass.; her mother, Thelma McIver of Calais; four brothers, Jimmy McIver and his wife, Marlene, of Rollingdam, New Brunswick, Larry McIver and his wife, Rhonda, Roger McIver and his wife, Susan, and Randy McIver, all of Baileyville; and one sister, Marilyn McIver of Pennfield, New Brunswick.

At her request, there will be no services.
