HERMON – Doris Stewart Treadwell, 98, passed away Friday, April 8, 2011, with her son, Steve, by her side, at her home.
Doris was predeceased by her husband, James. She is survived by a son, Peter of Bangor; and a son, Steven and his wife, Andrea, and two granddaughters, Audrey and Alayna Treadwell, of Orrington.
Doris was a savvy business-woman – running hunting camps on Moosehead Lake and a chicken business. She was an avid cook, gardener and reader. Doris kept up with politics and enjoyed a good banter around the table. She loved spending time with her family and will be sadly missed.
Friends are invited to join us for an open house/potluck 4-7 p.m. Saturday, April 16, at her home.
