LINCOLN – Patricia Davis Crocker, 56, died April 9, 2011, at her home. She was born April 11, 1954, in Bar Harbor, the daughter of Warren E. and Eva M. (Linscott) Davis.

Patty was raised and educated on Mount Desert Island and graduated from Mount Desert Island Regional High School. She also attended and graduated with high honors from the University of Maine at Presque Isle with a degree in elementary education. She served as a teacher for more than 30 years in the Howland and Lincoln school districts. She was a gifted teacher who not only cared about her students’ academic success, but also for their personal success. She was also a member of Beta Gamma sorority and was an owner and operator of a local travel agency. Patty was a loving mother, daughter, sister and friend to many. She loved the beach, music, reading and fishing trips to Eastport, and she was a talented cook.

She is survived by her son, Matthew Fish of Augusta; mother, Eva L. Davis of Bar Harbor; and two sisters, Jean Davis and partner, Susan Barnes, of Des Moines, Iowa, and Nancy Griffin and husband, Glenn, and their daughter, Sara Griffin, of Derry, N.H.

Private services will be held at St. Saviour’s Episcopal Church, Bar Harbor. Interment will be at Ledgelawn Cemetery, Bar Harbor. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, April 17, at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln.
