STEUBEN – Pearl F. Smith, 78, died April 12, 2011, at an Ellsworth hospital. She was born Sept. 2, 1932, in Steuben, daughter of Thomas and Mary (Sheeran) Faulkner.
Pearl enjoyed doing things for others and worked for many years as a senior companion. She also loved to spend time with her family and friends.
She is survived by two daughters, Lucy Greenwald and her husband, Mark, of Malone, N.Y., and Teresa Eldridge of Milbridge; one son, Lee Smith III of Steuben; three grandchildren, Tracie Samiya, Toby Howard and Joshua Eldridge; three great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by one brother, Frank Faulkner; one sister, Elsie Hooper; and one grandson, Tad Howard.
A celebration of her life will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, April 16, at Faith Bible Fellowship, Back Bay Road, Milbridge. Private interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Milbridge. A service of Bragdon-Kelley Funeral Home, Main Street, Milbridge.
