PENOBSCOT – Margaret R. Gott, 83, passed away peacefully April 21, 2011, surrounded by her loving family at Blue Hill Memorial Hospital. She was born Oct. 13, 1927, in Orland, daughter of Herbert and Alice (Heath) Bowden.

Margaret enjoyed canning, embroidering, playing games and camping, especially the trips to Baxter State Park with her grandchildren. She was a member of Castine Grange No. 250, Castine.

She is survived by one son, Robert Gott and his wife, Ruth Anne, of Penobscot; two daughters, Lillian Leach and her husband, Brently, of Penobscot, and Elizabeth Moore and her husband, Earl, of Northeast Harbor; 10 grandchildren, Nicky, Kelly, Wade, Earl, Wendy, Rebecca, Mary-Alice, James, Eric and Melanie; 18 great-grandchildren, Tyler M., Margaret, Read, Kasey, Rochelle, Spencer, Abby, Lindsey, McKenzie, Cole, Ashley, Brittany, Sydney, Austin, Connor, Keegan, Jordan and Tyler L.; one great-great-grandchild, Gabriel; sister, Maxine Marks and her husband, Milford; one niece, one nephew and many friends. She was predeceased by her parents; and her husband, Harold.

Visitation for family and friends will be 4-6 p.m. Monday, April 25, at Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home, 28 Elm St., Bucksport, where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday with Pastor Peter Remick officiating. Interment will be at Castine Cemetery, Castine.
