PRESQUE ISLE – Kathleen L. Antworth, 86, wife of the late Gerald B. Antworth, died early Wednesday morning, April 20, 2011, at a Van Buren nursing home. She was born April 6, 1925, in Summerfield, New Brunswick, the daughter of Merrill and Amy (Green) Gee.
Kathleen worked as a stitcher at Aroostook Shoe, Presque Isle, for a number of years.
She is survived by a son, Gregory M. Antworth of Old Orchard Beach; a daughter, JoAnne Felch of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two sisters, Dorothy Bell of Shediac, New Brunswick, and Vivian Clark of Albion; and three grandchildren, Tracy Mae, Kathleen and Hank Felch. She was predeceased by her husband; and a brother, Frank M. Gee.
A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Monday, April 25, at Fairmount Cemetery, Presque Isle, with Pastor Wes Lavigne officiating. Online condolences may be expressed at
