HARRINGTON – Ken Cook Jr. died peacefully Saturday, May 7, 2011, from a long illness. He was born May 23, 1936, in Northfield Falls, Vt., a son of Kenneth Sr. and Alberta Paye Cook.

At age 7 he and his family moved to Thetford Center, Vt., where he resided until 1979 when he moved to Harrington. In 1990 he married Louise Redimarker and they made their home on Marshville Road. Ken enjoyed fishing, gardening, hunting and being on the ocean. He learned the drywall trade and had his own business for many years.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 21 years; three children by his first marriage, Donna Cook of East Thetford, Vt., Ronald Terri Cook of West Fairlee, Vt., and Catherine Ann Cook of Hartford, Vt.; and one stepson, Brent Redimarker of Addison. He has six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He leaves behind some very special friends, Mark Strout and family, Frank Thompson and family, Galen Rhulin, and many others. He leaves one brother, Roderick Cook of Bradford, Vt.; and two sisters, Gloria Hall of Burnsville, N.C., and Goldie Jameison of Silver Springs, Fla. He was predeceased by his parents; and a brother, Richard Cook of East Hampton, Conn.

There will be no services at his request. A service of Bragdon-Kelley Funeral Home, Main Street, Milbridge.
