GLENBURN – Joan M. Wiles, 80, died May 15, 2011, at her home after a lengthy illness surrounded by her loving family. She was born Nov. 15, 1930, in Chicopee, Mass., the daughter of Moulton and Agnes (Holz) Davis.

Joan loved camping, fishing and especially spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, James Wiles of Glenburn; her son and wife, Mike Wiles and Shirley of Oakland; her daughter and husband, Mary and John Foss of Manchester; two sisters, Elizabeth Meucci of Bangor and Nancy Gonzales of Hermon; special daughter-in-law, Sue and her husband, Bill Ross, of Kenduskeag; six grandchildren, Jamie, Melissa, Michelle, Jessica, Eric and Jesse; six great-grandchildren, Lacey, Cody, Hailey, Maxwell, Tyler and Ryan. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Melvin; sister, Eileen; and Joan’s twin sister, Jean.

Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Wednesday, May 18, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. Relatives and friends may call 1 p.m. until the time of the service Wednesday. Condolences to the family may be expressed at
