HODGDON and WINTERPORT – Pauline Lillian (Tower) Kervin, 92, passed away peacefully May 17, 2011 at a Bangor hospital. Pauline was born June 19, 1918, in Cary, daughter of the late William and Lavina Tower.

Pauline grew up in Aroostook County and worked as a clerk at First National Grocery for many years. She was married for 60 years to Alston and raised two sons. In later years she and her husband moved to Winterport and enjoyed attending services at Church of the Open Door, Hampden. Pauline will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.

Pauline is survived by her loving sons, Rodney Kervin and wife, Annette, of Robins, Iowa, and Michael Kervin and wife, Andrea, of Winterport; grandchildren, Sean Kervin of Denver, Kimberly Lennox and husband, Jason, of Iowa, Kristie Reese and husband, Ken, of Hampden and Matthew Kervin and wife, Lisa, of Winterport; six great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Marjorie Quirion and Wrena Barton; several nieces and nephews. Pauline was predeceased by her loving husband, Alston L. Kervin; brothers, Floyd, Robert, Forest and Russell Tower; and sisters, Madeline Conway, Evelyn Aronson and Ellen Kelly.

Family and friends may visit 5-7 p.m. Thursday, May 19, at Hampden-Gilpatrick Funeral Home, 45 Western Ave., Hampden, where a funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Friday, May 20, with the Rev. Mark Fowler officiating. Interment will be after the funeral service at Hodgdon Cemetery, Hodgdon.
