PALMYRA and PITTSFIELD – Frances Madore, 83, died May 16, 2011 at a Hartland health care facility. She was born March 14, 1928, in Canaan, a daughter of Ruel and Lottie (Tuttle) Turner.

Frances was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Pittsfield, where she served as a Sunday school teacher and belonged to the Women’s Missionary Alliance. She was most recently a communicant of St. Martin’s Episcopal Church, Palmyra. She will also be remembered as an avid gardener.

She was predeceased by her husband, Gerald Madore, March 28, 1986. She is survived by a son, Thomas and wife, Nancy Madore, of Etna; three daughters, Cheryl and husband, Daniel Hanson, of Palmyra, Glenda and husband, Conrad Armandi, of Oakland and Diane and husband, Harold Dutton, of Oakville, Conn.; a sister, Julia Leathers of Hartland; nine grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren. She will also be fondly remembered by the staff at Sanfield Living Center, Hartland.

There will be no services at this time. Private burial will be at Pine Grove Cemetery, Hartland. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Newport. Those who wish may sign an online guest register at
