LIMESTONE – Diane Mae (Page) McPherson, 62, passed away Feb. 26, 2011, at a Caribou hospital. She was born Jan. 27, 1949, in Ashland, daughter of Wallace “Pete” and Florentine “Dee-Dee” (Sturgeon) Page.
Diane was a 1968 graduate of Ashland Community High School and spent her life as a homemaker.
She was predeceased by her father, “Pete” Page, in 1985; and her loving husband of nearly 21 years, Joseph “Mel” McPherson, July 26, 2009. Diane is survived by her mother, “Dee-Dee” Page of Ashland; her daughter, Dina Page of Bangor; her sister and niece, Denise and Michaela Neal of Mapleton; her stepsons, Melvin McPherson of Mars Hill and Joseph McPherson of Caribou; and Joseph’s two children, Katrina and Logan, whom she adored. Diane also leaves behind a network of extended family and friends, including those she met more recently at Limestone Manor.
A ceremony honoring her life will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, May 28, at Apostolic Pentecostal Church, Ashland. Family and friends are welcome to attend. A graveside committal will be afterward at Portage Lake Municipal Cemetery. After the committal family and friends are invited to gather at Dean’s Motor Lodge, Portage.
