LINCOLN – Mary W. Egan, 88, wife of the late Edward Egan, died May 30, 2011, at a Lincoln hospital. She was born Dec. 12, 1922, in Brooklyn, N.Y., daughter of Hermon and Esther (Witt) Koelsch.

Mary enjoyed shopping, especially buying gifts for others. She loved her cats dearly.

She is survived by a sister-in-law, Alma Koelsch; two nephews, Jim and his wife, Karen McCombs, and their daughters, Casey and Sheila, and Rob McCombs and Marilee McCombs, and their children, Meghan, Deirdra and Patrick; and a niece, Regina McCombs. In addition to her parents and her husband, Edward, she was predeceased by a brother, Peter Koelsch.

At her request, there will be no services. Inurnment will be at Arlington National Cemetery.
