BANGOR – Corinne Angie (Swett) Jellison, 79, wife of the late Uriel Edgar Jellison, died May 29, 2011, at a local hospital. She was born Sept. 18, 1931, in Ellsworth, daughter of Norman and Elsie (Priest) Swett.
Corinne attended Ellsworth public schools. She was a member of Columbia Street Baptist Church for many years; a dedicated volunteer driver for Meals for Me; a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 3177, Brewer; and a member of Riverside Grange No. 273, Brewer.
She is survived by two sons, Wayne Jellison and his wife, Elaine, of Fort Fairfield, and Leonard Jellison of Bangor; two daughters, Linda and her husband, Ernest Colson, of Orrington, and Wanda Jellison of Bangor; five grandchildren, Danny of Orrington, David of Ellsworth, Dennis of Orrington, Megan and Gregory, both of Fort Fairfield; nine great-grandchildren, Cierra, Dustin, Eryn, Skylar, Wilder, Korea, Dakota, Dilan and Sage; one sister, Jeannette Walton of Bar Harbor; one brother, Gerald Swett of Ellsworth; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brother, Gordon Swett.
Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Thursday, June 2, at Brookings-Smith, Brewer Chapel, 55 South Main St., Brewer, where funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, June 3, with Pastor Scott McPhedran of Columbia Street Baptist Church, Bangor, officiating.
