HOLDEN – Linda Nickerson, 59, died May 31, 2011, at her home. She was born March 10, 1952, in Houlton, daughter of Albert H. and Arlene A. (Williams) Myshrall.

Linda was a graduate of John Bapst High School, now John Bapst Memorial High School, and the University of Maine. She was employed by the city of Bangor for many years and worked as assistant manager of the Bangor Auditorium. After her employment with the city of Bangor, Linda worked four years for Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Maine and then as a full-time loving homemaker. She was an avid caretaker of flowers and most active with her husband in his shrine activities, even being the potentate’s wife in 2009. Linda was a devoted daughter to her loving mother and a strong supporter of her seven grandchildren. Her warm and gracious personality endeared her to all who knew her.

Surviving, in addition to her mother, Arlene Myshrall of Bangor, are her husband, Norris Nickerson of Holden; three stepchildren, Bruce Nickerson of Brewer, Kris Summit of Newburyport, Mass., and Andrew Nickerson of Holden, and their families; seven grandchildren, Matthew, Holly, Taylor, Jordan, Megan, Gabrielle and Hannah; one niece, Sandra Myshrall; and one nephew, Albert Myshrall. She was predeceased by her father, Albert Myshrall; and her brother, Richard “Dick” Myshrall.

Relatives and friends are welcome to call 5-7 p.m. Thursday, June 2, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday, June 3, at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Ohio Street, Bangor. Interment will be at Mount Pleasant Catholic Cemetery, Bangor. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments after the services Friday at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center St., Bangor.
